The Role of Acupuncture in Managing Cancer Treatment Symptoms

Ac., MAOM, Acupuncturist at Mass General Cancer Center Waltham and Infusion RN Cancer Center-Yawkey 8 Infusion Unit, & Amy Comander, MD, Medical Director,  Mass General Cancer Center Waltham and Director of Breast Oncology and Survivorship, Waltham Cancer Center and Newton Wellesley Hospital.

We will provide an overview of acupuncture as an integrative therapy for managing symptoms such as hot flashes and insomnia (trouble sleeping). A Mass General Cancer Center patient will share how acupuncture has improved her symptoms and quality of life during treatment for breast cancer.
